My husband and I stopped by the Perkins Restaurant in Camp Hill, PA today. Besides having a delicious breakfast, we were tickled to see that Perkins is having another Give Kids the World (https://www.gktw.org/index.php) promotion. I previously blogged about this on September 27, 2018. Give Kids the World is a non-profit organization that sends critically ill children and their families on dream wish vacations to central Florida. Families stay at the Give Kids the World Village, an 84 acre “storybook” village where visitors are treated to accommodations, admissions, transportation, meals and more.
At Perkins Restaurant, you can purchase raffle tickets, 2 for $3, or 5 for $5 and the winner gets a free pie every month for a year! Yes, 12 free pies. Also, you can round up your purchase to the next dollar to contribute to Give Kids the World. They also sell greeting cards at the check out area, and all proceeds are donated. They employ many small methods to make a big impact. Good for them. Good for us. Easy, delicious ways to help.
Thanks for stopping by.

P.S. I almost forgot. Perkins is no longer automatically giving out plastic drinking straws in their effort to reduce plastic waste. If you request one, they will give it to you, but it is no longer an automatic gesture. That will be a big step in the right direction. Thanks, Perkins!
