With the end of summer and fall just around the corner, students, parents and teachers are all thinking of back to school I read of a good idea that I thought was worth passing along. Pretty soon the kids will be bringing home the Scholastic Book leaflets. When you return them to the school, how about including an extra couple dollars? Not all students and their families can afford to buy a book. Your help will prevent a youngster from feeling left out and will also encourage literacy and self confidence. Other steps you can take are to donate to DonorsChoose, or simply pick up some school supplies when you are out shopping and drop them off at the school. Every little bit helps.
Thanks.

“It’s the action, not the fruit of the action, that’s important. You have to do the right thing. It may not be in your power, may not be in your time, that there’ll be any fruit. But that doesn’t mean you stop doing the right thing. You may never know what results come from your action. But if you do nothing, there will be no result.” ― Mahatma Gandhi
