Hungry for Music (https://hungryformusic.org/) began in 1992 when founder and director Jeff Campbell organized a street musician concert to benefit the homeless. Within three years he founded a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, dedicated to providing musical opportunities for children.

In a perfect world all children would be afforded the same opportunities, but unfortunately that is not the case. Since its beginning, Hungry for Music has placed more than 16,000 musical instruments into the hands of aspiring musicians. They have delivered all types of musical instruments to children in all 50 states and in 32 countries.

  • They support parents who cannot afford the cost of renting or purchasing an instrument.
  • They support music teachers and program directors who have students unable to participate because of the cost.
  • They support established, innovative community music programs that need support.
  • They have served more than 16,000 children in the past 27 years.

There are many ways to support Hungry for Music. You can donate funds, volunteer your time to pick up instrument donations, hold a fundraiser or instrument drive, buy a cool t-shirt in their shop, start a Hungry for Music chapter in your city, or spread the word on social media.

Help a kid realize their dream. Help Hungry for Music.

“It’s the action, not the fruit of the action, that’s important. You have to do the right thing. It may not be in your power, may not be in your time, that there’ll be any fruit. But that doesn’t mean you stop doing the right thing. You may never know what results come from your action. But if you do nothing, there will be no result.” ― Mahatma Gandhi
