I received my yearly email from Choose Love (https://choose.love/). It always stops me in my tracks and tugs at my heart. As they say on their homepage, here you can buy real items and life-saving interventions which will go to refugees and displaced people across the world. This is Choose Love’s seventh year of serving and the results have been super encouraging.

I’ve been told time and again that I spend too much money on charity, but how can I ignore the need? This year I purchased a Bundle of Warmth, which consists of a blanket and sleeping bag, giving people what they need to stay warm at night, enough hot food to nourish a family for three days, heating fuel to keep someone warm in freezing temperatures and a waterproof tent and emergency housing to provide a place to sleep.  I also bought Clean Water because I figured that was the most basic need of all.

There are many humanitarian needs which can be addressed through this organization. You can also buy Choose Love merchandise, which in addition to helping to support this mission, draws attention to this cause. Their mission is simple. They just want to help people. They don’t judge, they don’t take sides. If you are in need and they can help you, they will.
