I just learned that today is World Kindness Day. This is our opportunity to have a custom-sized holiday with maximum impact. Our act of kindness can be as simple as smiling or saying hello to a stranger, or holding the door open for the person behind us or as massive as sending aid to Ukraine or Sudan, or Somalia, Yemen or Syria. The awesome fact behind today is that we have the power, the power to effect true change in the world. The smallest act of kindness can pierce the darkness.
