How much is 20 liters of water? Just a little over 5 gallons. All over the developing world, 20 liter jerry cans are used to collect, carry and store water, and too often this water is causing sickness and even death. 771 million people lack access to basic drinking water services. At least 2 billion people worldwide drink water contaminated with feces. This is a pretty sickening thought, is it not?
The World Health Organization recommends 20 liters of clean water per person every day for drinking and hygiene. Through their partnerships with World Relief Rwanda and local Rwandan churches 20 Liters (https://20liters.org/) trains volunteers, teaches health and hygiene skills and delivers solutions to the most vulnerable.
20 Liters has reached over 200,000 people with access to clean water. You can reach 20 Liters to make a donation at 20liters.org/donate. Spread the word so that more people get access to life-giving water.
May 2023 be the year that we care for one another.
