I was fortunate enough to read about Concerns of Police Survivors (C.O.P.S.) in a recent issue of Woman’s World Magazine. COPS (https://www.concernsofpolicesurvivors.org/aboutcops) was organized in 1984 to help families and coworkers of officers who have died in the line of duty find ways to cope. Each year between 140 and 160 officers die in the line of duty, and the surviving loved ones are desperate to find a way to deal with that loss.
If you have gift cards to national chains that you can spare, you can send them to COPS. COPS will use them in fundraisers and other programs to assist families of fallen officers. Please note the balance and mail them to Concerns of Police Survivors, P.O. Box 3199, Camdenton, MO 65020.
C.O.P.S. is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. They are ranked as a 4 star charity by Charity Navigator. C.O.P.S. programs and services are funded by grants and donations.
Thank you for all you do,
Cindy
